Mental Health
Outpatient therapy can benefit individuals with a variety of mental, emotional, and behavioral health conditions, ranging from mild to severe. Our office staff will help place you with a therapist that specializes in your particular needs, and from there you will collaboratively develop goals for therapy, and a treatment plan to meet those goals. Our therapists are trained in a variety of methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). These sessions can be for an individual, couples, or a family. Many of our clients find group therapy to be beneficial as well. We offer a variety of groups that can be attended along with individual therapy, or as a standalone service. If it is determined by you and your therapist that medication would assist in your treatment plan, you will be referred to a psychiatrist or other prescribing physician, who will work closely with your therapist to provide comprehensive treatment.
Paying for this Service
River City accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, and all of the Medicaid managed care organizations. For those individuals that are uninsured, underinsured, or would prefer not to use their insurance plan, we offer a sliding scale for payments. When you call to make your first appointment, please have your insurance information available. We suggest calling your insurance company prior to your first appointment so that you are aware of which services are covered as well as any costs associated with your treatment.
