Bio
Before starting at RCCCS LaTasha Wiggins was an advocate for the elderly. She worked as a CNA in nursing and group homes while she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Healthcare administration and Sociology in 2012.
In 2013, LaTasha interned at RCCCS and gained full time employment shortly thereafter as a QMHP. In 2014, LaTasha earned her Master’s degree in Human services with a specialization in Mental health administration.
In 2016 and 2017, LaTasha was a strong advocate for the Children’s health insurance program with several appearances on local news stations, the local newspaper, and magazine articles. LaTasha would like to believe her efforts assisted the program with funding for another ten years!
As a QMHP LaTasha utilizes Cognitive theory proposed by Albert Ellis and Aaron Beck. LaTasha strongly believes that if a person changes their way of thinking that in turn will change the way they feel and act.
Personal
LaTasha is the mother of two awesome boys and three aquatic turtles. In her free time she enjoys spending time with the fam and sampling new eats! LaTasha is a country girl who loves to get her feet and hands dirty. LaTasha also enjoys fishing, camping, and shopping on a budget.
