Anyone who is experiencing mental, emotional, or behavioral health issues. These conditions can present in a variety of ways, so if you ever feel that you might “need to talk to someone” call our office and a member of our staff can help guide you in the right direction.
Paying for Services
River City accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, and all of the Medicaid managed care organizations. For individuals who are uninsured, underinsured, or would prefer not to use their insurance plan, we offer a sliding scale for payments and accept cash, check, or credit card. If you would like to use your insurance coverage to pay for services, please have your insurance information available when you call to make your first appointment.
River City provides insurance verification for our new patients free of charge. Through our verification process with your insurance provider, our experienced staff will assist you in understanding your insurance benefits and can help you with financial arrangements.
River City is able to accept a wide variety of funding sources, as well as most commercial insurances. We direct bill insurances on a fee-for-service basis. We work with the following insurance providers:
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a voluntary, work-based program that offers free and confidential assessments, short-term counseling, referrals, and follow-up services to employees who have personal and/or work-related problems. EAPs address a broad and complex body of issues affecting mental and emotional well-being, such as alcohol and other substance use, stress, grief, family problems, and psychological disorders. EAP counselors also work in a consultative role with managers and supervisors to address employee and organizational challenges and needs. River City is active in helping organizations prevent and cope with workplace violence, trauma, and other emergency response situations.
In general, care must be authorized in advance. You or your eligible dependent will speak to an EAP specialist who will assess your problem and coordinate assistance. Should your problem require mental health or substance use care, you will be referred to a provider, under your mental health and substance use benefit. Your EAP specialist or care manager will arrange a referral according to your specific needs. Contact your plan's Member Services department for more information.
Cancellation Policy
In the event that an appointment needs to be canceled or rescheduled, River City requires a minimum of 24 hours advance notice. If notice is not provided, a Missed Appointment Fee will be charged to the client for the full contracted rate of the service with your assigned payer.
Credit Card Policy
In an effort to prevent clients from accruing unforeseen balances, River City's Credit Card Policy requires that a credit card be kept on file for all clients at all times. At the time of your intake appointment, your therapist will review the Credit Card Policy form with you to answer any questions you may have prior to signing.
